Where is it being held?
A - Ivanhoe School, North St, Ashby-de-la-Zouch LE65 1HX
When is it being held?
A - Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd February 2025
Do I have to be affiliated to England Netball?
A - No
Who will I be playing with on my team in my slots?
A - We have tried allocating players we know together where possible
How many people will be in my slot squad?
A - a minimum of 8 per team daytime and 6 per team overnight
Why are there less people playing overnight?
A - These slots are harder to fill so the teams will be playing with a minimum of 5 players per team during this period
Will I get a break or do I have to play for the three hours solid?
A - Each team will have a sub so rolling subs will allow for players to take a break during the 3 hour slot. There will also be a 5 minute break every hour.
Who will allocate the rolling subs?
A - The designated team captain
Who is in charge of my slots?
A - There will be a shift manager on duty for each time slot who will be overseeing the event.
Does it matter if the pace drops off towards the end of the three hours?
A - No, we will expect the pace of the netball to slow down, we just want to see it keep going.
Will I be given my normal position or will I need to play out of position?
A - You will be expected to play in and out of position
Will I need to bring my own food and drink?
A - Yes, please bring food and drinks to keep you going
Can I just turn up for extra slots?
A - We would prefer to allocate you slots but would also be happy to have an extra set of hands (legs) available.
What if I can't make my slot?
A - You must email in as soon as you know you cannot attend an allocated slot.
Will it be too hot/cold?
A. The sports hall has a temperature control system built into it to regulate the court temperature to protect the sprung floor. It should remain a comfortable 16 degrees throughout.
What should I wear?
A - Sportswear, suitable footwear for indoor netball, team kit is not necessary.
Can I buy branded clothing to wear for the challenge?
A. - Yes we would love our players to be in our charity sports t shirts (or hoodie), these can be ordered for £20 on our

Can anyone buy merchandise?
A. Yes, they come in all sizes from age 4 upwards and are comfortable and look cool. Ask your friends and family to order on our

Can I have long nails and tape my earrings?
A - No, normal netball rules apply. Nails must be short and smooth and no jewellery or watches/ activity trackers should be worn
Will it be streamed on social media and publicised throughout the marathon?
A- Yes, we will try to keep our supporters informed throughout the event over a range of platforms.

Can I bring supporters to watch?
A - Yes they are very welcome, there is a viewing area outside the court area.
Is the marathon a world record?
A - No, it is not, we are running the world record attempts on Saturday. (More details on that to follow)
Is there a cost to joining in?
A - For team entries we are asking for a £80 entry fee which is payable through our
Just Giving page
with the Team name as reference. This is as well as the normal fundraising for the individuals
Do I need to fundraise to participate?
A - Yes, the key objective for the Netball Marathon is to raise £40,000 for the Kids Village Charity. We are asking participants to do their best to raise £100 per person. Sponsorship and donations should be made via our
